Hi I'm new... don't know if I have posted in the right place??
Options
Hello, I would just like some help/advice on a current problem...
A mate of mine bought a car in nov 09 on HP - after trading his car against the current one. Sadly he paying off £8k over 5years
Just recently I was thinking of selling my car and he is very interested in buying it - and with me seeing his we both agreed to do a deal/swap. But with him only being 6 months into his payments he hasn't got the full amount to pay off the hp... His car is newer were mine is 2 years older. We said we would like to do a deal as long os the hp is out of the way..... is there anyway of sorting it out?? as he has been looking for a loan for a few weeks but no joy, and the more he looks for one the less its likely to get one!
Could he swap the hp over on to my car or are there any other options/solutions he could take
Many thanks

It would be down to the Finance Company if they woudl allow the swap - To be Honest, with the age difference in the car it is very unlikely that they will agree to it.
If he cannot get a loan to pay the HP off, then you won't be able to do it.We've spent decades teaching people about their rights, but nothing about their responsibilities.0
