Which treadmill shall I buy?

I have got it down to:

Reebok Edge Treadmill £400
or

York 51039 T101 £250

Any help would be much appreciated.:)

weather is getting warmer, would it not be more mse to just go outside? That way if you give up it's cost you nothing and if you continue you can get one for the winter?

There's a couple of reasons to be honest why I can't go outside and run - (no not them!!!!lol), so running outside is not an option for me.

A treadmill really is (for me) a better option.

My sons and husband will use it too so it will be money well spent.

im a big treadmill user in every sense of the word :rotfl: i love mine to bits, use it 4 hours+ a week, not only can i have music i have a TV as well, i also like the fact that you can control your heart rate so accurately on them and there's no issues with rain or snow or sunburn etc and no sucking in lungfuls of car fumes.

i feel there vastly better than just street running, especially as the better ones have shock absorbing decks so you do not smash you joints up as you do on street running

unfortunately you get what you pay for with them, things to look for width and length of the deck, power of the motor, max user weight (the more weight the better the quality the longer it will last) how fast it will go and how high it can go

id recommend getting one with a shock absorbent deck, and be aware they need some user maintenance, the motor housing needs hovering out every couple of months and the deck needs silicon lubricant once in a while. oh and there big, even the ones that fold upright take up a big chunk of space

there's a huge selection of treadmills here and they give pretty good advice

  • No experience of a treamill but I do have a cross trainer made by Kettler and the build quality and their customer services are superb. It would cost more than you are looking at but if three adults are going to be using it then imo it will pay dividends to buy a better one which lasts rather have a cheap one that is wrecked in a few months time.
