I was cleaning my steam iron the other day (with vinegar) and you know how all the holes get clogged up with limescale. Well it occurred to me that the yellow size teepe brushes from the dentists were just the right side to clean them out.

It worked a treat. I can't think of any other uses though! Can you? :)

    I'd love to know more uses for these as i've got loads of them lying round, me and dad were both given them by the dentist ages ago and have been too lazy to use them!:o

    They're also excellent for cleaning between your teeth thus reducing dental problems and dental bills! :D
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

    But of course Toothsmith - every night and morning for me!

    They can also get the grime out from around the taps, the bits that the toothbrush miss!

    I use them for cleaning the little edges on pvc windows
    They are brilliant for cleaning shower heads as well
    And excellent for teeth :p Toothsmith :rotfl:

    Ooh, good ideas. I have just been given these and find them useless for cleaning my teeth - they just flex backwards and dont go in the gaps! But I *do* have an iron thats clogged up ;)

    You might need a different size... there are lots of different ones, so don't give up on them for your teeth!

    Oh some good ideas. We use loads of these brushes as my daughter has braces, I never thought to use them for something else after she'd used them, I normally just chuck them away. :o
