wedding worries. 4 weeks and 6 days to go.

hello
im just going to put my worries here and try to get some reassurance.:o

firstly my dress has no bustle is there a way i can do this.

still dont know if we are allowed in the venue the night before to decorate.

i need to make a choice between my jewellery or my friends borrowed tiara. they dont look good together but seperately look fabulous.

dont know if i have got enough table cloth. or material to cover the back wall.

the mens ties are not an exact colour match to the 2 older bridesmaid dresses.

we are having banqueting tables and have no idea how to dress them. i have table cloth, organza for table runner and some sprinkles,

thank you
i feel better already.

I'm sure someone else will know this

    Call them today and ask

Have you had your hair trial or do you know what you are doing with it? This might help you decide/ Or you could wear the tiara for day and jewellery for evening, than for dancing etc it will be safe, and you'll look different in the photos throughout the day

dont know if i have got enough table cloth. or material to cover the back wall. Ask the venue for measurements, or go visit and take a tape measure, and ask about your access at the same time.

the mens ties are not an exact colour match to the 2 older bridesmaid dresses. Will the men be holding their ties right up against the Bridesmaids' dresses? Of course not, they will be far enough apar in the pice for it not to be obvious. Try getting your oh to wear the tie and hold a dress at arms length and photograph it, if it's awful you will know, if not, you can strike it off your worry list

we are having banqueting tables and have no idea how to dress them. i have table cloth, organza for table runner and some sprinkles, That sounds lovely, not sure what exactly you are worried about?

    thank you

thank you, had my hair trial the style looks great with or without a tiara, i guess im worried about upsetting my friend by not wearing the tiara.

i didnt know if the tables would need more decor.

the ties match the flower girl,

thank you again by the way it is firm straight talking that i need.
because at the end of the day its the ceremony that matters to us. the after party is just a massive bonus to get all our friends and family in one room.

    Hi Love,

I think at the end of the day no one is going to be looking at the dresses and ties saying "oh they don't match" and if they do they aren't the friends you thought they were they should be glad you have invited them to your special day.

As long as you and your OH are happy and you get married everything else can go away :)

I like the above suggestion that you could wear the tiara for the ceremony and wear the jewlery in the evening :)

I would definatly ring the venue today to find out what time you can go in because you don't want to be stressing about it on the morning of your wedding!

Please don't get too stressed it's not good for you :)

  • re your bustle....

I had a bustle put on my wedding dress in my previous marriage. It was ever so simple. Up by the waist inside the dress were 2 "eyes" (as in hook and eyes) with the loops facing downwards.

Then further down the train (and here is where you would need the maths to work out where they would need to be placed, mine were about where the backs of my knees were) were 2 hooks facing upwards. When you pulled the hooks up to meet the eyes, the back of the dress bustles up and the train is pulled up to just a small puddle at the back.

It was very simple, but created a gorgeous bustle. I'm sure you could do this yourself, all you would need to do is have some help knowing where to put the hooks to get the bustle the right length?
