Yes, thanks for this. I'd lurvvve to grow my own sweetcorn!!!!

And all in a good cause too - 'World Vision' is great.

Compared to others, OH and I have very little money but in a way, don't want for anything (largely thanks to here as far as I am concerned for extras - i.e., I never buy moisturiser but never go without!).

So we came to agreement Re: Christmas Presents For Each Other and Presents For Family (who really don't need things) to save up and give 'World Vision' Gifts, e.g. instead of giving OH something he could do without, I paid for him to give 70 school children a dinner, which he loved to do!

Bit of an eye opener/wake-up call, as what some of us, thinking we have very little, may spend on one Christmas meal, can give others so much more in so many ways elsewhere. I would seriously urge others to check out their website - the feeling of doing something is fantastic!!!!!

E.g. - recently had new born (absolutely gorgeous!) nephew. He comes from a family where he will want for nothing. Instead of giving him something he would never use, we paid for a baby to be delivered safely in hospital in his name and gave him a card saying what he had done (which hopefully he will look at later and keep).

Anyway, enough of this - is great post in more ways than one and am looking forward to getting (fingers crossed) my seeds. Will love it if I can go out and pick my own 'corn on the cob' - lovely thankyou MD!
