Happy Birthday Sue!!!

I hope MSE will forgive me this little detour off the Nice People thread with a personal thread.

Just that morag has just pointed out that it's Sue's birthday today  - and if I recall correctly, it was a biggie, which needs all the bells and whistles out.

:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

But...Sue's dad's not well, and she is busy supporting her family, so may not have had the opportunity to treat herself as she deserves...

So Sue, from all of us on here, hope you've had a lovely day, and we'll drink a virtual glass of something nice with you today.

Cheers, and here's to the next 40...:dance::dance:

Happy Birthday from me too, Sue.
If you don't have a chance to celebrate it much today, then just celebrate it a few weeks late, after your dad is out of danger and you have a bit more time. Just make sure the celebration doesn't get missed out altogether.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Aww thanks guys.

It did turn out to be a pretty low key affair but boy am I glad I didn't have that party I originally wanted as it would have had to be cancelled.

We had made plans to go out for a meal (my parents, me, the boys and a family friend) tonight but with dad not up to it, just me and the boys went but still paid for by my parents. We also went to my parents briefly this afternoon for pressie opening etc and mum had somehow managed to decorate the house with balloons and banners, goodness knows where she found the time!

    My birthday pressie list

33 Touch of Frost DVD's from my brother (he collected them yonks ago but never really watched them and knew I loved that programme).
£40 from my parents, a £ for every year.
Law and Order season 2 box set from eldest.
    A book from youngest.
A bracelet from the family friend.
A mug, a necklace charm and a mahoosive 40th balloon from my sister.

Middle son is putting some of his pocket money towards a new microwave for me (£35 at Argos).

But of course, the best present was dad being home.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Shame I missed the cake smilie in the OP - here it is again, along with some other pretty smilies in lieu of presents. :p

It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

Totally concur. Be like the Queen and have an official knees-up when circumstances suit.

But Happy Birthday for yesterday too! party-smiley-015.gif
