Job Seekers Allowance Question

Does it make a differance to my JSA if from my last job I was sacked, or left on my own accord? - JSA is contribution based, presume if "left on my own accord" my JSA could /maybe stopped; if sacked then JSA OK.

Whether you leave voluntarily or get sacked you could have your benefit sanctioned, if it is contribution based then you would receive no benefit at all for any sanctioned period unless you had an underlying entitlement to Income based JSA. Yo will not know whether you will be sanctioned in advance because each case is looked at on its individual merits and what both you and your ex employer say, you can be sanctioned for up to 26 weeks.
