I get this message whilst trying to open an attachment from a e-mail
''Firefox dose'nt know how to open this address because the protocol(blocked) is'nt associated with any program''

what sort of attachment is it? Can you right click on it and try 'open' ?Bern :j0

The attachment is a quote from a travel company. Right clicking dose not work eitherif i had known then what i know now0

is there not the option 'let firefox find a program to open this with' available?Bern :j0

Have you got a gmail or hotmail account you can email to to then open it there?
Or you could check the properties of the attachment from the Gmail/Hotmail and find out what you need to open it?
