I've been a true DFW nerd!

I feel i am finally an unredeemable nerd! In May I had the last real major spender before realising I had to get things under control or I could have ended up spiraling into huge debts, so off DS and I went to Disneyland. Great trip and really glad he has been but now it's holidaying DFW style so..........

wanted to take DS away just before he starts BIG SCHOOL(!) for the first time, and so I asked for my parents for a tent and all kit to go with for my birthday (to which they agreed and gave me a budget) brought stuff, and used pigs back for a couple of bits so getting cash back, so total for tent etc £0 plus cashback!!! And then I booked a 3 day stay in weymouth, indoor pools outdoor pools on beach kids clubs etc etc etc, off peak (7th Sept) for £27, however paid with clubcard vouchers so FREE!

GRAND TOTAL FOR HOLIDAY: £FREE £FREE £FREE :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

so excited, just save a few pennies for food (will take most down though) and I can give DS a really special trip. Best bit, can do it all agin next year now I have the tent, and still have £100 worth deal vouchers left!

Anyone gonna join me and become a holiday nerd under canvas?!

lil'H
Riding out the receession.........

  • How on earth have you got over £100 of clubcard vouchers.......I never seem to get any more than £10!!!!!

I would love to take the kids away but that won't be happening for a couple of years, I want to have a most excellant holiday in 2009, when I am (hopefully) debt free...........think I'll start planning it now!!!

Have a lovely holiday! It really shows that even whilst in debt you can have a bit of a holiday and have a good time with the kids!

I hope the sun shines for you!

I recently used my £100 of clubcard vouchers which I'd saved for about a year, to go to a hotel in Gloucester for a break for 4 days. Bed and breakfast all free!!
