Unfair Bad Credit Left

Options
Hello, in December 2009 i entered a contract with o2. when i signed the contract i was told i could cancel it within the 1st 2 weeks. After 3 days of having the phone i recieved a bill from o2 for £60 (3 times more than the line rental) so i took the phone back to the shop and cancelled my contract as i wasnt willing to pay the bill. The manager was fine with me, and cancelled everything immediately.

4 months later i applied for a mortgage and was told i had bad credit on my report. unaware what this was i purchased my report online and o2 has left bad credit on my report saying i am in 4 months arrears on £9!

Ive never recieved any letters, calls etc off them, when i cancelled the policy i was never advised that this would happen!

Does anyone know if i can have this removed from my report, because in my eyes, this is not my fault? Please help as im desperate for my mortgage to go through! :(
