Cash for Gold

Hi there

I've been looking at trading in some old gold jewellery and am undecided as to whether I should be looking at trading it in at my local jewellers or take advantage of the 'cash for gold' website. Does anyone have any experience of this and what sort of value is likely to be paid out for weight?

I've just come back from the Post Office and sent mine off to Hatton Garden Metals for £5.50 plus £2.75 for insurance (up to £2500).

I'll let you know what I get for it tomorrow. This is the very first time I've ever sent my gold off.
