Inventory Clerking

I wondered if anybody has had any success carrying out inventories for estate agents or letting agencies?
I have been looking at a couple of companies who charge to train for this type of work. However, despite the figures quoted re. buoyancy of rental markets (which is true) I cannot help but feel that the majority of agents (particularly independents?) would do their own inventories rather than outsource, when they aren't exactly run off their feet at the moment on the sales side of the business.
I called a couple of local agents to ask if they ever outsource this type of work and both have confirmed they do them in-house.
So, I'm interested to know if anybody has any success obtaining this kind of work, and if so, what is the best route in?
Thanks in advance

I would stay well away from them. As you have found out, most will do it in-house.
It's just another one of those companies selling training for jobs that don't really exist, but sound as if they do.0 -
Also, how much training do you need to go round with a list and check things off against it? As gj said, yet another money-making course that's a waste of time.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j
OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.
Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.0
