I want to copy a MP3 file to CD - where can I get it done please?

I recorded a telephone call on my mobile which I need transferring to CD.
I have managed to save it as an MP3 file although it is too big to send as email.
Does anyone know where I can get the MP3 put onto CD and sent to me please?
Thank you.

Hi, it is a bit unclear what your end goal is, I mean you already have the mp3 file so what purpose would it serve to have it saved on to a CD and then sent back to you (when it looks like you want to send it by email) - if you want to send it to someone or want to keep a copy that you can access from different locations, there might be other ways of achieving that objective.
If you want to access your mp3 file from any computer you can try an online file upload service, I can recommend this one:
https://www.dropbox.com/
If you want a physical cd copy, if you have a cd burner on your computer (most current models of PCs and laptops do), then you can use a free CD burner software to do it yourself:

If you want someone else to burn it onto a disk and send it to you by post, just say and maybe we can work something out.Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.

Hi Vuze
I have tried sending it by email but it says it is too big - I need to send it to my solicitor and I tried sending a different file type but she couldn't open that either.
I really appreciate your help.Total Quidco earnings - £547.98

Your laptop/desktop should have a writable drive in it. Why don't you do it yourself?
If you look in Device Manager, you should be able to tell what optical drive you have.Dave. :wave:0 -

Ok there are 2 things you can try here, either zip the file to reduce the size, or use an upload service.
1) To zip the file:
You can use a program like Winrar that compresses the file and reduces the filesize, this might work if your file isn't too big.
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Direct download: http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar393.exe
After you install the program, you right click the file and select 'add to archive'.
2) Use Google Docs as file storage:
Visit: http://docs.google.com and sign in with your google account.
In the top left, there is an 'Upload' button, click that.
From the next page, you can select the Mp3 file, then click the 'start upload' button at the bottom. It will then show your filename as a link, if you click that, it should load the file, and there will be a 'Share' text link, which if you click that, will give you options to either make your file public and give you the url that you can email to your solicitor, or you can choose to 'invite users' selectively.
There are many other ways to send a large file, there exist services such as YouSendIt and Gigasize, or you could use ftp. However, these might not be secure enough because you are uploading into the public domain and I'm assuming your file is sensitive to privacy so the 2 options above are probably the easiest and least technical but also relatively secure.
Also as a tip: if you can get your solicitor to come online and use a service such as Gtalk or MSN Live messenger or similar instant messaging chat programs, you can use them to send large files directly without the need for email uploads.
If you need clarification on any of the above, just let me know.Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.
