I thought you were going to have him pay you direct?

He paid on the 7th it went to them on the 13th cleared on the 16th.

Yeah we spoke about the payments and he mentioned something about trying to claim tax credits in order to help him out - so if he can get that to help him then i wont feel so guilty and instead of giving it back to him they can have it in their trust funds.

Have you still not received it then? I would have thought it should be in the bank by now, allowing 5working days.

    Tax credits?

Working tax credits i presume? If his income is less than around £16k then yes he should get a little.

If you are speaking about child tax credits, are you not claiming these?

It's only supposed to take a week or so for the CSA to pay the money to you after they have received it from the NRP. However, it has happened to me that they received the money and I never got it!

For a while my ex insisted that he was paying although I wasn't getting any payments. It turned out that because there were arrears owing to the secretary of state (from a short time when I was on benefits), the payments were being taken off that debt instead of being passed on to me as they should have been. I never did get this cleared up and never got the cash!

The same thing happened last Dec and I still haven't recieved the payment. This time I was more 'on the ball' and got onto the CSA straight away. They are supposed to be sorting it out now.

I suggest that you ring them to check what is happening, just in case the money has been paid out already to the 'wrong' place.

    Good luck.

    Thanks

I called them today and they said it hadn't been paid automatically for some reason and that it had now been actioned so I should get it in the next 3-5 days.
