    Pity the Toshiba DR3 doesn't support +R or +RW.

Excuse my ignorance but does that matter. I just want one to transfer my old tapes and DV tapes to.

It doesn't matter at all unless you have a cupboard full of +R/RW stuff...the Toshiba DR150 is about worth the money just for the DVD-RAM timeslip function.

Dont be too easily misled ny the others selling at highr prices. I noted this in an online review :-

    "General Comments
I can't believe this Toshiba DR3 DVD recorder is still being sold for £240 at several places considering it's now a discontinued model. Richer Sounds have it for just under £100 and that represents excellent value for money."

The review also notes a noisy fan but is otherwise favourable.

I am not sure whether the Richer Sounds info is up to date.

BTW: What EXACTLY is "A Grade" Stock ? There is now so much of this being sold.

The Mustek Yukai R5802 80gb HDD model for £120 inc is great value too, IMHO its pointless to buy a dvd recorder without the HDD.

    According to Ebuyer,
    * Grade A Goods are "Factory Reconditioned" to the Manufacturers original specification. All goods supplied are 30 day high street store (30 days) returned products .

With grade A stock there is always a chance that there may be a minor cosmetic mark, Considering the price however these are considered to be very minor and will not affect performance of the product.
