Balance

so how do you balance what you should pay to your debters against things like kids holidays xmas ect ?

I am with payplan paying a set figure a month it will take me many years to pay off my debt.

Now i have some spare cash that i could pay to payplan (not much) but it wont make much difference in geting my 50k+ debt down but if i do pay them then the kids (4 of them) dont get a holiday. Now i aint alking about somewhere flash just a few days away in this country for the wife (she has MS) and he kids.

How do others balance things out.

I think this is one of those 'personal choice' decisions - some are not having holidays and some are.

You can get away cheaply for a few days - take a look on the travel forums for deals and ideas.

The only thing I would say is that even small amounts paid off your debt do add up to make a difference. As an example, I've been paying off "odd" amounts like £3.41, £2.57, etc on a monthly basis and it's taken another £40 in total off the debt. Maybe not huge, but it's still money off the debt.

    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18
