Medion notebooks under £400 at woolies (merged)

Hello

Didn't see this on any other thread (if it is I apologise) but this laptop doesn't look bad for under £400:

https://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/product/index.jhtml?pid=50701533

Description

Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition
Intel Centrieno mobile technology
15.4" TFT XGA colour display monitor
16:10 for optimized DVD movie playback
Dual layer DVD-Writer/-Rewriter (DVD+RW/+R-DL/RAM + CD-RW and DVD-ROM)
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900
40 GB hard disk
256 MB DDR II RAM memory
16 bit soundchip & 2 integrated speakers
Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 - Wireless LAN 802.11g/b with up to 54 Mbit/s
10/100 Mbit Fast-Ethernet and 56K V.90 modem
3 x USB 2.0
Main powers supply
Li-lon battery

I realise it'd probably need a memory upgrade to 512 MB which shouldn't cost the earth.

Not in the market for one myself, but someone might find it useful.

Right, off to take t'whippet for a walk...

C. Yorksman.

This time Woolworths have a decent offer in store. A 1.7ghz Pentium-M widescreen laptop with dvd writer. It only has 256mb of RAM so tha will need adding to. Here it is on the website:

Apart from not being a true mobile processor or a dual core one Pc Worlds customer service is terrible in my experience
