Hello its me the lady with the neverending medical problems:rotfl:
I have been feeling quite run down for a fair few months now and whilst I think I have a handle on most of it there are a few issues I still have and wondered whether anyone on here had ever experienced them before (for what its worth I am off to the docs this evening so not looking for medical advice just experience)
I have always been a regular 28 day cycle and prior to having children had horrendous heavy painful periods, I get the breast pain, hormones (I am like the crazy woman!) etc and have been taking epo to help with all this. I have a non hormonal coil which was fitted around 4 years ago and have never had a problem with this......but since around last nov time my periods went haywire, I started to come on and random days although I still had a 7 day period. They settled down the last 2 months but this month I have had 2 periods, for about 7 days I have also had severe pain in my womb:(
I know that some people skip periods when stressed or run down etc but this has never happened to me nothing has ever affected my periods and the pain I have is like a tender sort of pain and when I walk too far I feel like I could collapse. I know it sounds bizarre and I am a bit concerned the doc will just shrug it off so I wanted to know if anyone else had ever experienced the same out of the blue?

Yep, i have pcos & this sounds normal for me, the sudden abdo pain was because i am also hypermobile & it effected that area out of the blue. Tell your gp you want to go to a gynae to be checked out, better to sort it, then worry about, with kids you got enough on your plate!
HTH & hope you get sorted soon xNo one said it was gonna be easy!0 -
It is definately uterus pain (or so the doc says) and I have been referred for a scan in case my coil has moved0

I have period pains which sound as bad as this- I had to go to a&e (my doctors surgery and nhs direct and the out of hours doctors all suggested it- not me!) I was unable to walk or stand up straight, sleep, eat and all pain killers (and period pain killers) I had tried had made no difference at all. I had even tried taking more then wa suggested (which I do not advise) but I was that desperate.
In the end I was refered to a gynocologist at the request of the A&E people who gave me a pill (are we allowed to name names here?) and that pill took the edge off. Definetly speak to your GP0
