Telephone interview

Hello!
I'm hoping someone can offer me ideas/ advice on what to expect. I haven't had a telephone interview since I was 18, so almost seven years ago now and I can't for the life of me remember what it was like!
I have a telephone interview for a Motor Claims Handler role next week and would appreciate some pointers. I've worked in insurance before but that was a few years ago now. I've recently completed my first unit of my Certificate in Insurance exam and I'm really keen to get back into an insurance role!
Thanks

When I had a telephone interview with Axa. I researched online before hand to prepare. The following link was really handy and it helped me get through it. Have a google for other websites and good luck.

Thanks for that link littlegirllost
I've had the telephone interview albeit with less than an hours notice! It went really well and I'm now through to an assessment centre and 1-2-1 interview next week. I've been advised it'll be a role playing exercise and a maths and English test.
Does anyone have any idea what these will entail? I've been at my current job for three years, so it's a while since I've had an interview and I'm a little unsure!
Thank you!0 -
just to let you know i applied for the same role and had to attend the assessment day and have now been offered the job so here's how mine went.
first we were split into 2 groups and given details of 6 people stuck in a cave and told details of them and asked in which order would they be saved first.about 20 people sit round edge of room writing notes while you do this.this is all about interacting so the way i did it was to read all the cards out in turn and then i let everyone else discuss while i raised points and then i would say shall we move onto next one, which i felt showed me as taking charge but not taking over, also don't be too shy or too loud.
there was also an interview.
also had an exercise writing a letter to a customer saying their insurance wasn't valid.just set out the letter correctly and you cant go far wrong, this might be your english test that they are talking about.
didnt have a maths test so cant help you there but hope this helps with some idea of what to expect.btw i have had no experience in insurance so you have a head start on me there.let us know either way what happens, good luck!!0 -
