Hi peeps,

I'm hoping someone on here has more joy searching than me... want to find some floating glass bubbles as see on the following site...

www.flowersandsupplies.com/Floating-Glass-Bubbles_p_35.html

Is anyone able to help me find a UK supplier? This company only ships in USA plus they look so fragile not sure if they would make it here in one piece! I really love these bubbles but not having much joy...

All replies much appreciated :)

think its just over a tenner for 18pc? looks very pretty. :) I know its a pain with shipping costs but you should have a look and see if other US sites will ship any cheaper?

    I love a challange! :D

I have found this site http://www.prettycleverdecor.com/servlet/the-9463/Colored-Floating-Glass-Bubbles/Detail
and below is a note from their shipping policy

    For International Orders

We are willing to ship most of our items just about anywhere in the world, provided you will pay the shipping costs. We do not allow our cart to calculate international shipping costs due to the extraordinary amount of variables associated with each order, as well as import and export restrictions between countries. I love the idea as well it will look stunning, I will keep searching for a UK based company

  • do you mean the bubbles themselves, or the candle bubbles?

If you mean the floating candle bubbles then they sell almost identical at my local garden centre. I've just brought 8 @ £2 each for my table centres. I'm having a fisbowl, submersible light, glass pebbles, a few inches of water and one of these with (now I know it sounds weird) a flower inside. The reason being that we aren't allowed candles inthe venue (not even floating in water, which poses zero risk but rules are rules) I didn't fancy the gel stuff and wanted a flower in water, but I couldn't get the flowers to stay afloat, so I got these to put the flower in and if I do say so myself, it looks very pretty!! But they are intended for candles, and have several displays of them in the shop.

It's a blue diamond garden centre, part of a chain. It's in Staffordshire if that helps you? Are you anywhere near enough or perhaps if you could call another blue diamond place nearer you, they might be able to tell you if they have them?

Let me know if you need more details.

    Magicgirl and Sarah

Thanks both for your links! I may actually get these after all! I have pinged emails to both for quotes :)

Missymoo, I was hoping for the bubbles but would LOVE the candle bubbles too! I will try garden centres locally. Am in Herefordshire and haven't heard of the chain you mention,... I wonder if there is a website...hmmmm

I really like the idea of the shallow bowl, with red glass chips / marbles in the base with the bubbles and floating candles. Would love to incorporate flowers too but wonder if i'll make it too busy. I want poppies on my day cos i love them. I can have candles in my upstairs room for the reception / wedding breakfast but in the room downstairs for the evening do we aren't allowed candles so am thinking of LED ballons but so far i'm struggling for inspiration...any ideas? Theme is red and / or poppies :D

Thanks again to all of you.... I really appreciate it! Next challenge is to find some nice ( affordable ) shallow vase bowl type things :D

  • Great stuff!!!

In ours (which is about 10% gardening stuff, rest is kids, homes, books, household lovelies) they were in the household bit, with a HUGE section of candles (woodwicks, overly expensive brands, etc) and the floaty things were all piled up in a HUUUGE vase (probably 200 of them, 2 types) and then 2 or 3 huge displays of them too, in vases 4ft high. They had them for a while, as I brought 2 for a gift for someone about 3 months ago, them remembered them when I ran into my floaty flower problems and sure enough they still had them, so I keep everything crossed for you and hope that the place you are going is big enough (our blue diamond place is vast) and that they do indeed have them.

If you are still struggling after tomorrow, PM me and I'll try to take a photo of mine...

    Good luck....:)
