Personal pension + stakeholder pension

My wife has a small personal pension fund with Standard Life(£5000). She also has a Stakeholder pension with NU (£10,000) which she is still contributing to.
Is it possible to transfer the SL pension into the Stakeholder?
Are there any other options?

It might be better to do it the other way round - the charges on SL personal pensions are low and the external fund choice is one of the best. Also there will be no charge to transfer from the stakeholder, while there could be a charge the other way round.

What funds are the two pensions invested in?
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
  • The SL is in 'Pension with profits one fund' while the SH is sorry AXA and is given as the 'reserve' fund.
    Any help?

AXA's "saver" pension is awful and their "investor" pension isnt much better although average for a stakeholder.

The SL PPP is far better than the stakeholder although you are in the worst fund available on that scheme.

Agree, transfer AXA pension to SL, extract SL money from WP fund, and choose new funds for the combined fund and new contributions.

Have a look at the external funds on offer at SL.Some of them are in the top 10 of all the funds out there :)

When you get the list of the funds on offer, you can check out which are the good ones here:
