Blimey - something good happened

Postie came this morning, armed with a bunch of junk as usual - one of them was from Inland Revenue - boo hiss I cried.

Opened it up - it was a tax rebate cheque for 200 big ones, I apparently overpaid in 2004!

How lovely! And that's nearly half what I'll need if the valuer suggests replacing my carpets tomorrow.

:T
My sig's too large, apparently - so apologies to whoever's space I was taking up.:lipsrseal

:D Not yet - I took some advice from here and Consumer Direct, and wrote to Britannia (recorded delivery :)) and am now awaiting their reply.

Ha, I doubt it! But in fairness, I didn't even know I'd overpaid, it was a total surprise. I'd never have known if the taxman hadn't been so honest :D
