Some good news for my debt and a little advice please!

Hello!
Well, subject to Beales giving me a store "approval" (on Tuesday) I was offered my new job yesterday as manager at Benefit cosmetics! The great things are that
a) I've got a job b) it's in walking distance so will now save myself £45/month on bus fares and c) it's something I really want!:j
The other good news is today we heard back from our letting agent that our references had been approved to move to our new flat (is only the building next door to whre we are so no moving costs!!!!). This had been a big worry for me but now we've got it! It's £150 cheaper a month (£75 each)!
So, hopefully, once things are settled I'll be looking at paying off £500/month on my debt rather than the £317 at the moment, reducing it by around 2.5 years!!!!!! Yay!!
The only scary thing is that I have £1000 to last me til I next get paid, which I don't know when that'll be yet. That will cover my last month's rent in current place, first month's rent in new place, £100 to CCCS as they said they'll accept a lower payment in lie of what's going on and food/council tax. Any advice on how to make my money last even longer though?
There are 2 of us and we spend usually £90 on food/cleaning stuff/cosmetics etc at Lidl for both of us - anyone manage any cheaper?

Congratulations on your new job. Can you cut down on cleaning materials by using old style products.'You can't change the past, you can only change the future' Gary Boulet.

Well, if you are moving, you'll need to empty your cupboards fridge & freezer, so have a look what you've got, then post the list on the OS board & someone will come up with as many meals as you need using what's in the stores!
Do you really need to buy any cleaning stuff this month (yes I just realised you'll have to clean out old & possibly new flat:D)....can you use up what you've already got & only buy absolute essential/run-out-of stuff?

Well, I don't think we'll need to buy any cleaning stuff before we move...even though our tenancy on current place ends 21st Sept, tenancy on new place starts on 1st Sept so we'll get flat cleaned by then and move in then. Using my Stardrops which I am so impressed with!
I will write a list of my cupboard/freezer ingredients although we've already not done a shop this week to help so it's getting a bit smaller!0 -
Oh dear God, now I see why you've got me to make the list. Won't do food shopping for a fortnight I think apart from milk/bread etc!!!!0
