apparently Webb Resolutions agreed to take 24 mortgage customers off their books yesterday alone - by agreeing to reduce their mortgage balances by thousands of pounds each, in order to make it easier for them to remortgage.

If you're a Webb customer, it's worth asking them if they'll do this for you.

I kinda hoped something like this would happen with Intelligent Finance. They sent out letters last year saying they were no longer doing mortgages and we would need to shift to Lloyds (or Barclays :o, definitely someone I'd never dealt with before) when our tracker rate finishes in 2011.

Now they've sent a letter saying we can stay with them, but it seems only at SVR - no mortgage products.

    I can but dream lol.

Intelligent Finance is part of HBOS which is now part of Lloyds

Is it possible to find out what webb resolutions paid for my mortgage from mortgages plc
  • Yes it is possible to find out and you will prob get a massive shock at what the price is and if your anything like me they are being sod's with you. I have a complaint at the min with the FSA and the financial ombudsman because webb are not registered with the FSA to administrate a mortgage or collect your payments. Have a look at legal beagales forums for Webb Resolutions and you will have your eyes opened. I applied to the land registry for the full file on my property, you have to pay a fee of I think £25 but well worth it, and it tells you everything that you want to know about the sale. I have had nothing but trouble with Webb since my mortgage changed to them in 2010. If anyone else has had trouble with Webb please get in touch, the more people complain about this so called company the better. If the FSA are prepared to investigage them then they must think they are trading wrongly. They have no authority to conduct a mortgage so all your rights that protect you with the FSA go out the window. Webb need to be stoped from trading like this and ruining peoples lives.
