Be warned, this does not include any GPS software.

It is only a PDA with built in GPS receiver.

Not bad if you can source cheap software.
  • If you look around on ebay you will find all you need,i paid £5 buy it now for tomtom 3 with all the speed cam extras and the disc also had about pda 200 apps and 200+ pda games on it.It wasnt adverised as having tomtom in the description but when you read the ad you figure out what your gonna get .)

It is not a good idea to buy 2nd user TomTom software from Ebay, as it can only be activated on one pocket PC at a time.

I suspect the previous poster got a pirated copy which this forum does not condone. If you know where to look it is available.

You need TomTom 3 software with Great Britain maps

My husband would like a satellite Navigation system but TBH neither of us have a clue what to look for. Can anyone give an idiots guide to these please and where to get a good deal, preferably with the speed camera extras?

We did see one at Makro - think it was Medion (?), but we dithered as to whether we should buy it and when we went to see what it was like it was sold out - lol!

    Thanks

    Thanks

Now, I'm not sure whether this is against the forum rules or not, so apologies if it is.

I will let the other members decide, but I am currently selling the following unit for £299 (I got a batch at a good price)

    http://www.navman-europe.com/product_details.php?id=AA005307

Which is a bargain I think, it's a proper sat nav unit with software included.

So views people? Good price compared to what is available on the market?

Roadhog...that is a good price for a discontinued product.

It is not generally allowed to post your own bargains, but as you say, let the members decide.

The Garmin units do not support the FREE safety camera database though.

But you could always make your own database if you know where the cashpoint cameras are located.

I thought it might be, when I said let the members decide, I did mean somebody will put me right if it was a grey area or I'd contravened the rules.

So, the Mitac is still a good price but it does require the software as per previous posts. However, if you are after one, there are only 12 left and there was 26 when I originally posted this.
