I hate it when people shoot down the OP, who's trying to help. but..

Am I missing something, or is this really expensive Real Ale?

All I can add is
Freebies you don't really need can be given to your local Hospice Charity shop so they can raise funds they desperately need. Pass on your good fortune :A

This is not really a grabbit as the beer sells for £1.99 a bottle online

But at least we won't be going thirsty this summer

Costco frequently does offers on Badger, Wychwood or Marstons variety packs at under £1 a bottle, now that's a Grabbit (when it's available!), none of this "save 2p a bottle if you buy 20" malarkey!:rotfl:

Morrissons are selling Bombardier at £1 per bottle reduced from £1.72 I think.

i must say that for what is effectively own brand beer it is not cheap at all - morrison do offers of 3 for £4 so you would get 50% more for the same money and you can choose your own selection.

Morrisons are actually doing 4 for £5.50 now, not 3 for £4, so it's marginally dearer.

They also have a case of 12 bottles for £14, or 24 for £28 if you like, which is £12 cheaper and 4 extra bottles over the M&S deal. The case includes Jennings Lakeland, Marstons Pedigree, Brakspear Double Dropped, Brakspear Oxford Gold, Hobgoblin and erm, can't recall the 6th one (similar to Hobgob?) 2 each of 6 types.
