Ebay DSR's

Hi, i've recently started selling a few things on ebay and have just had a look at my seller dashboard my dsr look like this

Item as described4.761.89% (1)
Communication4.760.00% (0)
Dispatch time4.591.89% (1)
Postage and packaging charges4.820.00% (0)
(didn't copy and paste very well, the number is brackets is supposed to be the number of low 1 & 2 star ratings)

It says in my listings that i despatch within 3 days of payment being received, however i always post either on the day of payment or the next morning and fast delivery is always commented on in my feedback so i find it really unfair that someone has marked me down for despatch time, especially after having a few buyers who have took over a week to pay, i have never hassled anyone about payment and always give them plenty of time.
Item as described also baffles me as i take a million pictures of what im selling, tell the truth and most things i've sold have been brand new anyway.

I have 100% feedback but the DSR system seems very strict so how many low ratings can you get before ebay take action, and how do you build ratings back does the low rating drop off there after a month or so of good dsr's or am i stuck with it all year?

Have only just started selling seriously on ebay and all my efforts seem to be at the mercy of someones thoughtless clicking

I have had this today too - an e-mail from Ebay to say that I've fallen below their standards.....
but almost 700 transactions, 100% positive feedback, and nobody has mentioned slow delivery in their comments (In fact, most comment on how fast it is!)
I always post the same day as payment, or the next day if I've already gone to work when they pay, so I'm baffled about where the low stars come from....

I can't really get worked up about it - I am guessing that the low stars have come from those few who paid late - in one case after a NPB dispute was started and the day before it was due to close....

I do think that Ebay should put in another stage for those about to mark 1/2 stars to say "was it really that bad??"
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

This prompted me to check mine. I had 5/5 on the postage cost out of 400 sales, but following one person not happy with the postage cost they gave me a 1/5 which has dropped my average right down.

In this particular persons case, they actually only paid .29p item and £3.99 postage for an iteam which was brand new and was £60 in the shops. Firstly, whenever I purchase I take into account the full price of the item - the item + postage = full price. If its more than I think is what I want to pay then i dont buy. Secondly, the postage actually only came to £2.99 + 0.25p for jiffy bag, plus if im being funny, what ever the cellotape + journey to the post office cost. And, everyone else selling similar items were charging £3.99 postage as well. So, we are not talking about overly inflated postage costs to get out of paying ebay fees. And Thirdly, there is no opportunity for seller feedback on this to explain this.

Luckily its only the 1 buyer who has had a problem, but what if someone else isnt happy.

    Just had one too.

    Item as described 4.79 0.37% (1)
    Communication 4.84 0.37% (1)
    Dispatch time 4.88 0.00% (0)
    Postage and packaging charges 4.60 1.87% (5)

This is out of 268 transactions. 100% Feedback. So 5 people think my p&p charges are too high.
Ebay are a joke. Sorry. But simple as that.

Maybe your p+p charges are too high.

Just a thought, because that's a very high percentage unless it's the same one or two people.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

You think that less than 2 people in a hundred thinking that p&p is too high, is a high percentage???

    Yes.

    And so do ebay.

To put that into my context, we have had the same 5 lows in over 1,800 transactions, and that's still not good enough as far as I'm concerned, so we brought in a free postage option to trap the moaners. ;)

    Seller Dashboard Maintenance

No wonder we all getting darn ebay emails
  • so what happens if you keep getting crappy dsr's can they suspend your account?

I also dont understand why they dont have dsr's for buyers for how fast they pay or whatever theres no way of knowing if anyone else has had problems with a buyer i cant get my head round what numpties they must have at ebay to come up with ideas like this and think its working.
