Marshall Ward Debt - Older than 6 Years

I have read the previous threads - but am a little unsure where I stand.

Received a letter from ScotCall stating that I owed £1129. Previously was hassled by Akitva Kapita.

I am convinced I have paid this debt fully. However, the bank will charge me for my statements for the past few years in order to prove this.

If they are not acknowledging my payment - can I just go through the over 6 year thing, and state that it is over the limitation period?

I am unsure on the "contact" part of this act. I have had contact from these debt agencies within a 6 year period, therefore does the limitation act still apply.

Did you pay within the last 6years? If so its not statute barred and even if they don't acknowledge all payments made they'll acknowledge some.

Contact would be something written from you that agrees that you owe the money, e.g a written offer of payment or a written acknowldgement that the debt is owed.

Do you not have online access to your bank with copy statements? the alternative might be to do a subject access request to the bank, which will provide you with a full list of transactions, and it costs £10 so much cheaper than ordering copy statements.
