What sort of bras do you like?

I bought an Elomi bra & ruined it on it first wash (the the bit where the underwires meet look like rats have chewed it:eek:).

Its a great bra, I think I may have needed a chest size down as it made my ribs feel a bit tender towards the end of the day & I think that may have been down to movement.

I love the lift of underwired bras, but I do have trouble finding wires that are comfotable.
I like bras that totally seperate the boobs, so the wire runs flat against your chest. But I often find the wires seem to run too high up on me.

I think I have a high rib cage, or am short waisted or something.

I hate non wired bras as they don't seperate the boobs, they sort of squash them together.

Next time I'm in Bluewater I will go into here

Anyone ever been to Rigby & Peller, how much do they charge:eek:

I love Rigby & Peller! The fitters are amazing and I have got some very nice bras from there. Yes I was wearing the wrong size!

Not cheap though - I was paying £30 for a bra there 15 years ago. Unfortunately I no longer live near London but I did learn enough from them to be able to fit my own bras correctly now.

My daughters and I all wear underwired bras.

We now handwash them only, as I had to call the repairman both in January and February to take the wires out that were stuck behind the drum of the washing machine, and wrecked it both times...:o

Fantasie are a good brand if you're a bit more generously endowed :)

On the washing issue I put mine either in the sleeve of a jumper or in a pillowcase for washing - i do handwash in between but don't feel they get as clean like this.

is bravissimo any good to you? (it's only bigger sizes..) otherwise john lewis is a good bet and their selection in bluewater is pretty good.

i used to handwash them all but now i just can't be bothered. i do put them in inside bags though and that saves the damage a bit (and i take them out before the spin because my washing machine has that option!)

I wear underwired and padded, I'm a small back size and largeish cup size and never have a problem washing bras, I've never had one fall to bits and I just throw them in the washing machine with everything else, I buy high street especially M&S and Primark, I will only wear bras with thick sturdy shoulder straps and Primark have great ones that are super pretty and I never have cleavage boost ones, in fact I never ever wear anything low cut so its all about the shape, hoisting them up and prettiness for me. La Senza have nice ones too but their sizing is odd (small) and they think we all want them pushed together:)

Hi, I tend to buy mine in Debenhams as I find they carry a good range and they seem to fit ok. Even better when they have a sale!!! I but underwired and seem to buy just the t shirt bra type. I always bung them in the washing machine, I couldn't be bothered with hand washing them and drying them in the winter. I never tumble dry them though, as I find they go a funny shape.

Would love to try Rigby & Peller too!

Me too, try this one, it's really really comfortable but looks nice too - http://www.bravissimo.com/products/lingerie/everyday-essentials/panache/balconette-bras/pn53-details.aspx?

    Panache bras really suit me.
This is a brilliant everyday bra. I've been wearing this style for about 4 years now. It minimises spread at the sides but keeps your boobs separate. It gives a fab uplifted pert shape. They do it in a plunge style too but although it's a bit prettier looking, the full-cup style above is better for shape. I just wish Panache would make it in a plain fabric, as the embroidery can show through t shirts.

For prettiness, the Panache Confetti bra is AMAZING! Low cut balconette and quite flimsy looking but this belies it's unbelievable ability to lift, separate and support my 34G boobs. My favourite bra!

(Actually this is the first time I've looked at the curvylicious website. The Comnfetti bra is very cheap there, I paid around £28 for it in Bravissimo last year)

I only ever handwash my bras in the wash basin in the evening. Definitely prolongs the life of these bras. Whenever I've put them in the machine, the wires have started to pop up soon after.

They do! Look for the Tango Pure bra.

Debenhams for me. I think the range is called something Gorgeous. Great bras as the underwiring is padded so never digs in.
