don't know for sure but usually for gigs in the gardens it's standing, but if it's sunny there's plenty of room to sit down. if it's rainy tho it's really slippy cos it's on slope.

  • It will be at the Ross Bandstand - the gigs always are.
Slight correction on someones previous post - it is indeed seated but they sell more tickets than seats are available for. I went to see Franz Ferdinand last year and there were a few hundred people standing to the sides of seated area.
There will be a bar - selling Tennents.
    Toilets just behind stage.
I seem to remember food stalls too.

fabby concert, it was all standing on concrete steps. We parked in the castle terrace car park and walked into the gardens via st cuthberts church, this meant we found the shortest of queues in the gardens, so short in fact we were unsure of being in the right place! The queues to get in on princes street were enormous. when the gates opened we sauntered in and got a fab position right opposite the stage. What we didn't realise however (and we wouldn't have been so blase if we had) was that only the first 2600 folk were allowed in front of the stage on the concrete area and the rest had to hang over the privet hedge either side of us - cue lots of unhappy folk!
  • Did anyone go to the Belle & Sebastian concert last Sunday - could you tell me what time they came on? I only go there @9pm (film festival event ran late) so want to know how much I missed! :( The hour and a quarter I did see was good though! :)
