Just to add the adams code works for both the first and second weekend of the Half term hols in October so that could be useful to someone. I got the code today (25% off in adams) and saved £75 off a weekend in whinfell0

thank you twinnie. i have always wanted to go to centerparcs and now not only am i going but im going to see my little 2 year old boys face light up when he sees santas in the magical lapland in whinfell forest and know ive only paid £180 for 4 adults and 2 children so he can share it with his grandparents aunt and cousin too.
i found the best deal to be on a midweek break starting on 4 dec for whinfell. didnt try any other parks though as this is the closest to us.

Hope you have a really lovely time, we are still deciding whether to book for Whinfells's magical lapland experience on either 4th Dec or 11th dec with our 3yr old0 -
Found this code on a tear off page out of a magazine (though only have one sheet so not sure which magazine it was in).
The code is BPC06 and it states this code is valid for the period 8 September - 18 December 2006 (excluding 16-30 October 2006).
Hope this helps someone grab a bargain.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

Just wanted to mention that if you haven't been to Center Parcs before, then it is worth stocking up on groceries etc before you arrive as the on site supermarket is quite expensive
I have just come back from a Midweek break at Sherwood and had a great time there, we would definately go back.
If you know anyone who works for Center Parcs, then they are usually able to get VERY good discounts for Family and Friends (we are talking under £100!)Busy working Mum of 3

On a slightly different note, I've never been to CP but would love to go. Can anyone suggest which CP would be the best? My husband is a wheelchair user. Thanks[/QUOTE]
I haven't been to longleat - but heared it is very hilly
I have been to all the other 3, and wherever you go you will have a FANTASTIC time
I would suggest you phone up CP and have a chat, I should think they wll be most helpfull
As other posters have mentioned there are designated accommodation for disabled guests, not having been inside one I assume they have been adapted re doorframe/bathrooms etc, because MOST accommodation is on one level anyway. Some have steps to access, so should think these would have slopes etc.
Also as already mentioned I have regularly seen vehicles with disabled stickers parked outside villas, whereas other 'guests' have to put them on the car park outside of arrival/departure days.
The main dome/village centre is quite user friendly for wheelchair access - certainly you will be able to get into the swimming complex. I have seen quite a few 'guests' in wheelchairs inside the pool area. They also have special changing areas.
For those with young children, CP is PERFECT.
I took my children there virtually from birth. Facilities are great.
Accommodation had ( presume still does) high chairs and cots and playpens
Swimming pool area had playpens and highchairs etc, and all eating/entertaining areas have child-friendly facilites - lego tables, childrens meals,
There is a 'beach' at Sherwood by the lake with play equipment, and there used to be FREE childrens entertainment a couple of times a week - Puppet/Magic show etc.
There are outdoor play areas for the kids, depending on their age and daring.
This doesn't include all the special activities that are laid on - but be warned these are an extra cost, and can soon mount up. You usually get a whole pack of info on these activities a couple of weeks before you go. They encourage you to pre-book, which IS advisable during peak periods as things like football competitions can soon fill up as they have set numbers.
But be prepared for events/activities to be cancelled at short notice for lack of numbers. You will be refunded, but if you complain, you may also get a free session another day.
Best time to go is obviously outside school holidays - so for those with pre-school kids, you are well in. Probably these will be when the discount codes give the best deals as well, because CP are very proud of their high occupancy rate - about 98% all yr round I think they say !! - peak school holiday times are exorbitant !!
Also, the younger they are the less expensive it will work out as they won't be wating to do all the expensive Extra things.
Yes the parc Market is dearer than your local Asda or Morrisons etc, but they still have Bogof, and end of date reductions, and they are only a few pence dearer. They do stock most things you may suddenly need - One year I was behind a woman who spent about £200 on arrival day, inc toillet cleaner and bleach !! I thought it was supposed to be a holiday !! She did get free delivery to her villa ( when you spend over £35 I think it is)
Yes you can bring all you want from home, but if you are cramped for space , or have a long journey, is it really worth it for a few pounds.....and hopefully you might be eating out - must admit THIS is not cheap
I would take loads of snacks and drinks for when you go out on bike rides, walks and to the dome, because frequent refreshment stops can soon add up - their hot chocolate was DELICIOUS, but like most places, it seems to have deteriorated into the cadburys packets !!
Hope all this helps. Anybody else who wants to pm me are welcome to.
Anybody from CP who is reading this,,,,,,I would love a nice free holiday. We all love CP, but money is really tight, and unfortunatlely now I am limited to school holidays :eek:0 -
