Hi,
Can anyone tell me why HSBC would refuse to move you from basic bank account to current account. ?? No CCjs in last six years - no defaults, up to date payment on accounts that are open. !! what do these people want.
Said I had failed credit score ! have had a lot of searches some people have granted us credit some refuse ! (24 in year) (4 in 6 months).
When lenders refuse you do they tell the CRA`s who tell others you have been declined ? or once you declined by bank are you declined by them all ?
Do they have white information .. I have two years of 00000000s on my credit file ??? :A
I cannot understand them I put £1700 a month in their basic account !
I have £12000 outstanding .. 2500 a car 2500 to Everyday, and 4000 to welcome but have never missed them. How can I get away from them whilst these banks wont help you ???
Pay car £161, welcome £204, E/Day £165 .. bank loan wud be much cheaper
I did have a CCJ set aside - claimants request.. but nothing else adverse, dont understand them ! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Thanx

You are joking aren't you? With that many searches on your file you are clearly desperately seeking credit (rather than saving up for stuff).
Presumably there is no overdraft facility on a basic bank account, whilst there is on a current account. The bank clearly sees you as a poor risk - you pay in £1,700 per month but how much of that have you saved?
Stop applying for credit, build up some savings and turn your risk profile around.0 -

Its almost impossible to work out with Experian what are valid searches and what are not. My credit record says I have made 31 searches in the last 12 months, and 8 in the last 3 months, when I look at them they are nearly all insurance quotations and Experian related things.
One wonders how many of the OPs searches are actually proper credit searches0 -

It is actually quite easy - on the summary page it will tell you only the number of credit searches both on a 3 month and 12 month period.
When you go into the actual file it then blends them with id checks, and the unclassified nonsense.0 -
Hi,
Bouncydog with respect if I had money to save I would nt need credit.,.... thats what banks are for lending. If I owned a house outright and had three grand in the bank would I bother asking them for money .. not likely. Though they would love me ..simple as that isnt it. They always writing to an affluent friend of mine. Offering him money they would LOVE to lend him. If it werent so serious then they would be funny !
They took advantage of my taxes when they nearly ruined themselves with their bad business practices and greed. Did you know banks have millions in unpaid CCjs outstanding.
I have three kids and dont really manage to save very much, I am afraid. I m paying Welcome and Everyday high rates to clear costly debts !
If I could consolidate it at a reasonable rate - then I would nt have to absorb the costly debt I have been saddled with, easily repayable compared to present outgoings .. and rates of interest...
I am not desperate for money, I am desperate to get away from Welcome, and Everyday !! would nt you be
HSBC see otherwise...
Though they wont really miss me or their share price will drop , I am off with my £1700 + a month to pastures new !,.
Halifax - better basic account, debit card, DD s - bye HSBC !
They re staff were nt very helpful or polite anyway.
I am confused as someone else said about what is a search and what isnt a search ... though I admit there are many ..
It is only through coming here you learn about their mystical scoring systems and how best get what you need or want from banks.
I am not desperate for money, it is unclear who will lend you, some companies will I have found that out. But some dont. So unless they have one of those non footprint search facilities like Barclays use, then you don t really know do you ???
I would never ask Barclay s to run a search they use a calculator on their website which says basically you are, or are unlikely to meet their lending criteria - please call back in 6 months. How fair is that - great idea .. dont have any Barclays searches recorded - they save wasting your time and their time.
I can understand their concern over adverse credit - CCJ, Default
This search thing is ridiculous
Damn them car loan finishes in ten months use that to pay other credit - clear it all except those who treat you with at least some respect or help you out
HSBC will never see another penny of mine rant over:j
Thanks for the replies ! have a good day folks !:A0
