Very Cheap Mens Bike Required

Hopefully around the £50, I know I missed the sports direct and asda offers. I wont be using it everyday, just occasionally and really dont want to pay over £50 as I am a bit strapped for cash at the moment. Are there any offers around at the moment for a Gents Bike?

Have you tried Freecycle? You'll be pleasantly surprised what you'll find on there.0

Try Argos they have 20% off bikes at the moment with code Bike20.0

How about checking out your ads in your local paper, quite often you see kids bikes for sale, maybe you might strike lucky and find an adult one in there?
You could also maybe try your local independant cycle shop, our local sells second hand bikes for both kids and adults. They might even keep a look out for you if one suitable comes in?
Also check supermarket for sale boards, my local Morrisons and Tescos have ones.
I'm thinking of a bike for getting to work but haven't seriously started looking yet but those are the kinds of places I would be looking first if you are on a budget. Hope you find yourself a bike soon.0 -
ok, just being moneysaving, if you dont need a bike for regular use, and you are strapped for cash, why bother trying to buy one now?
if you pay £50 you will get a donkey of a bike, that due to the poor components used, will probably have seized whilst lying in your shed for months on end, unridden

I agree with this sentiment, for that kind of money it will be a donkey of a bike and the bits and pieces (components) that make up the bike will be of poor quality and not worthwhile in the long run when you consider how much grief they cause when they start failing on you.
Look around for a better model of bike (used) and just clean it up - that will be better value for money and you will have something that you're more happy to live with and use on a day to day basis than a new & shiny piece of junk.Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.

I was after one the other week for son to get to work, in the end i asked my friends on FB if anyone had one in their shed etc & got one ! lol
Post a wanted on freecycle?0 -
for 50 quid I'd look at local ads or a local bike shop. advantage of the latter is they will give it a general check over, and have useful after-sale service.
Not sure about freecycle - what are the chances of bikes being absolute junk or fit for parts only? I wouldnt expect much, but you could get lucky I suppose!0 -
I saw Bikes in Asda Harrogate just about an hour ago for £35.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
