Let's be honest - could we really bear to have this man as our next chancellor?

Problem is they are bang on the money about a hung parliment.
It would be a serious knock to the country and the £ will fall further as every investor thinks we will hardly be able to pass a law without a "deal" being done.

I am pleased to say I know nothing whatsoever about him, other than the name. Care to share why we should be worried?

What can I say except he's rather accident prone.

Yeah Osbourne is a bit of a liability to be honest - definitely the weakest of the party Chancellors for me.

I'd say Darling is close to untouchable at the moment.

Even though Vince Cable seems to be the most popular,

I actually find Alastair Darling the most knowledgeable and seems to have that bit more integrity, shame we couldn't mx and match MPs from different parties!

Osbourne minds me of a sneaky public school boy with 1930's pale complexion to boot.

His face resembles one of the Thomas Tank Engine train characters, as does camerons

Popular yes. The right skillset to be the next Chancellor is another matter. Which is the crux of the matter. Who ever it is has to be prepared to talk tough and be disliked, while driving though fundamental changes.
