Did anyone receive a call from scottish power today??

Just took a call from scottish power

polite lady telling me that I had recently entered a competition to win £1000 and she had good news............................
wait for it...... I'm through to the next round, but could they give me a price comparison, lol

I take it they were just trying o get me to switch over and that they probabaly do that to everybody??

Oh well, and today of all days had 2 delivery trucks turn up (got all excited) and they were parcels for my next door neighbour.

Its just been one of those days.

Yeah, I had one the other day, part of the terms and conditions does say we will receive a call.

Told them I would love to switch but can't because I'm under contract :whistle:

I had one last night.. I dont remember entering a comp with them?? Anyway, she asked me if I was having a good day.. so I said very firmly.. NO. and was she wanting my details grrr.. she mumbled oh sorry to hear that, as I am on a pre payment meter with BG she will automatically put me throught to the next round... I could have sworn she said it was for £1200..

I have had a few of these calls from energy companies congratulating me on getting through to the next round of their competition. I suspect everyone who enters gets through to the next round and its just a sales call in disguise.

I also got a call. They asked if I had bought anything from Argos recently ???. They then asked for my postcode. When I said I was in Northern Ireland it took them by surprise and they quickly ended the call.

yep i had one yesterday, told them i don't pay the bill (which is true) but it seems that gets them off your back if you're looking for an excuse

I'm pretty sure we're on the cheapest tarriff but he can tell them that in his big man voice haha

call here too she said draw tomorrow at 12?!
