Thanks for all the suggestions. It seems the council can make their own rules and if you don't fit in ..........too bad! I will appeal against the decision but then I will have to look for a shared lift, help from the school or if not then pay the full price on the school bus or public transport which will charge full adult rate.
More belt tightening required I think!

My daughter will be starting high school in 2 years. It's going to cost around £2 a day to get there by bus or the other option is for her to bike there along really busy main roads.
