Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but was just wondering if somebody could help??
I used Credit Expert/Experian’s loan search facility to try and find a loan that would work with my credit rating, but it turned up no results and forwarded my details on to another company called Quick Decision Loans. These guys phoned me up, went through a phone application and told me that I’d been accepted, but first I had to pay a £69 admin fee. I was a bit uneasy about handing over card details, but as I had been passed to this company by someone as reputable as Experian I thought it must be legit and so handed over my details and they took the £69. They said all was fine, I’d been accepted, and I’d receive paperwork within 48 hours and the funds within a week of them receiving signed paperwork.
Now, 5 weeks later, I have still received no paperwork, no funds, nothing. I’ve phoned this ‘loan’ company numerous times asking what’s going on only to fed a load of excuses and told paperwork was coming followed swiftly by them hanging up on me before I even had time to reply!!
I’ve since wrote to them and emailed them demanding a refund of the fees they took, but still no response. I have clearly been taken for a mug and ripped off, just wondering if there’s anything I can do and any way to get my money back??
Thanks!

I fear you will find that they are a broker, not a loan company. I know someone who had simular situ, took him months to get his £69 back, but he did in the end due to numerous daily phonecalls0

There are many threads on here regarding 'upfront fee' brokers, you will need to write (there will be a template in one of the threads)and will get back your money minus £5 which they are allowed to keep.0

Thanks for the replies!
Advice taken, will go off in search of getting my money back now, and also be a little bit wiser to avoid anywhere that asks for a fee so i don't get had again!!
Have to say though, am pretty appalled that a company like Experian would pass on details to such a shoddy rip-off company like QDL! Think I’ll send Experian a letter too giving them a piece of my mind, as well as a request to cancel my subscription with them!0 -
I did the same as you, well almost, I didn't go ahead with any of the many many calls offering me loans, I still get them calls even though its been a few months. I had the same company call me 3 times in 2 days and each time I told them I had never applied for a loan and was told I was taken off there system.
I rang experian but got no where, it was my own fault for not ticking that little tiny box somewhere near the bottom that I never seen to opt out.
I guess I was lucky, good luck with getting your money and thanks for sharing your experience with me.0 -

But we got a phone call from nortian fiance and they said they couldn't help with a loan but a debt managment plan like they take what debt we owe and we pay them monthly to sort it out but its there sister company ashley park, they said its all getting set up n that but they want the first payment of £110 but its not even set up properly yet...bit concerned considering qdl took money from me and said it was all set up and stuff? anyone got any advice or if they know ashley park as a good company?0

Sadly if you have only just been stung by QDL and are seriously contemplating throwing even more money away elsewhere, you are simply beyond the help of people on here.Beware of imitations e.g. Robert Sterling0 -

Experian strike again, they really are the lowest of the low, foisting themselves off as a reputable company and then steering people towards sharks like QDL0 -
