Im currently 24 and still have my R plates up. Would anyone let me hire a car for a few days?

    I'm afraid the answer is No. Although some rental companies will allow "young drivers" (usually for an additional fee), they must hold a full licence and have been driving for at least 24 months. Rules may be a little different dependant upon which rental company you go to.
