Allaince & Leicester Loan

i have applied for a loan online with A&L which was quoted at 7.9%. APR

I have received the paper work this morning and they have set the APR at +14.3%.

I cannot afford the payments at this APR, can they do this change the APR or change it by this much?

Sadly yes they can.

Most loans are priced according to risk; you must fall into their high risk category.

I had something similar with them - but as I was a loyal banking customer I called them to complain. They blamed a faulty link from a comparison site and gave me the lower rate

Thanks for the comments, i am going to ring them tomorrow and see what they have to say.

I have even gone on my credit report and a loan with 7.9% APR has come up on there with them????? taking my credit rate into consideration......so confusing!!!!!!!!

A&L have increased their apr`s for most people for most loans,something tells me they trying to get out of the loan market atm except for the very best customers or those prepared to pay high rates

i have been contact with norton finance about loans which contact me through my credit rating......lets see what they come up with.

I will still be ringing A&L to see what they have to say????????
