leftover pudding recipe

Options
I found some manky, over ripe pears in the fruit bowl tonight and instead of chucking them I made a pudding out of bits in the cupboard.

Peel and slice said pears (any fruit would do) into buttered ovenproof dish along with leftover dried fruit (I had a few apricots) and make a topping out of porrige oats, flour, leftover pitta bread (from lunch) grated up, chopped up seeds (sunflower and sesame) mixed with brown sugar and dotted with butter. Bake.
Sounds a right mess but it was utterly delectable, the kids didn't believe me when I told them there was pitta bread in it! The thing that made it for me was the sesame seeds, they were lovely.
:)
