Getting a mortgage on non standard construction homes

:( I have lived in a council property for 5 years, and have the Right To Buy. However, on applying, I have found difficulty getting a mortgage, not because of my circumstances, but because of the construction of the house, it is made from Laing Easi-form. Today my mortgage advisor has basically told me to give up hope as my landlord refuses to provide a PRC repair scheme certificate which would, I gather, mean the difference between securing a mortgage and not. Has anyone any ideas?

I do not think this is a benefits question. If you look at the index there is a forum for buying houses etc and I expect they can help.
