Hi, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with ‘cyberdiamonds’ on Ebay, the prices seem reasonable and he appears to have good feedback. Or does any one have any one have suggestions where to get a nice diamond ring on a budget?
Thanks in anticipation

I'd 2nd Samara James, like Steph says you actually have a huge say in your diamond and even get to know where it comes from - mine from a volcano in Canada :TForty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I got my finacee's engagement ring from Sanmara James too.
They're really helpful and weren't pushy in making the sale.
Definitely give them a look.0 -
Have you thought about trying an independant gold/silver smith? I have both my wedding and engagement ring (amongst other pieces) made by a local gentleman who runs a bespoke jewellers, and they weren't particularly expensive either.
We popped in yesterday to show them the wedding photos and he was talking to a guy about a diamond he'd bought off the internet
This guy had been in before he bought the diamond and asked his opinion on it, and had gone against all advice and bought the diamond anyway and had now come back to get the jewellers opinion on it.
Can you tell where this is going yet?
Although the certificate from the retailer of the diamond stated it was 100% natural diamond, it wasn't entirely true
In the opinion of the jeweller (although not certified which he admits, he deals with stones of all kinds regularly) he believed it to be resin-filled, and gave all the reasons why he felt it was resin filled. This guy had bought a diamond for around £2500 and, had it have been completely natural, it would be worth 4 or 5 times that. The jeweller also made the point that there is nothing wrong with having a resin-filled diamond as long as you are aware that is what you've bought and you're happy with that fact. All the advice he has given this guy is free of charge, despite the fact he has a 3-month wait on custom pieces and probably had much better things to do than to stand and talk in circles with this guy just wanted someone to tell him what he wanted to hear!
I can't recommend using an independant craftsman (or woman!) more highly
We've had so much advice and time spent with us designing the rings, even down to the smallest tweaks of exactly how rounded I wanted the edges on my rings & taking into consideration the fact I suffer with dermatitis on my fingers and how the shape of my ring could affect it etc etc. He sat and worked completely to our budget, finding ways to give us the exact rings we wanted within the budget we had to spend. It was a fabulous experience and knowing our rings are completely individual means a lot too. And I can go in and have my rings cleaned/polished whenever I want to
I'd made a bit of a mess of the back of my rings recently (badly scratched
) and they polished them for me the other day and now they look like new
