£12 in vouchers for varies alcohol in the August magazine including a £5 and £3 voucher - used the £3 in Tesco today and it worked.

To use the somerfield named alcohol discount coupons in Tesco, do you have to buy the named item or does it work on anything like the manufacturer coupons?

If you use self scan it works on anything. Unfortunately at my local tesco the asda ones will work but the attendant needs to put in their code to authorise it, which they dont with a manufacturers coupon. They always authorise it without asking questions but I'm a bit paranoid about doing it after hearing some of the stories on here so only use manufactuer coupons now. Am running low so might bob down to somerfield next week, they always used to scan ok.

Any more comments about your experainces of using the somerfield coupons at Tesco would be helpful. Do you have to buy the named product to use somerfield ones?

they are usually ok at my tesco - they will usually take a couple per shop but again it is very inconsistent depending on the sa. the till will def take them so just choose carefully!!
