0% Balance Transfers

Options
Switching to a 0% balance transfer card, does this mean that you don't pay any interest until the offer expires, then start paying what ever the interest is on any remaining balance if you haven't managed to pay it off. Also the fee is that a percentage of the amount you want to transfer.

    Yes and yes.

    Although you only don't pay any interest providing you don't make any purchases on the card. Cut it up as soon as it comes so you cannot be tempted.

    Just make you have a direct debit in place for the minimum payment. Miss 1 and they will clobber you hard ie the whole balance goes up to the purchase rate. Thats speaking from experience.
