just like your tesco clubcard, but you earn points at sainsburys and other places instead of tesco.
check https://www.nectar.com for more details. The word is BOUGHT, not BROUGHT.
It's LOSE, NOT LOOSE.

You are correct, it's very similar to Tesco, but the main contributor is Sainsburys, plus a number of affilated companies (BP, Debenhams, Ford, Talk Talk...). The value per points isn't terribly good (normally 0.5p per point), but there are some recent 'double' value deals over the summer. It's my local, so I collect them, but Tesco and Boots are 4p/point through deals, so I try and shop there when I can.

It isn't a credit card.

One thing to bear in mind is that Nectar attracts large organisations who feel that their brandnames have sufficient brand awareness so that they do not need to rely on affiliate links such as QuidCo and RPoints.
Because Nectar also offer advertising and have a huge brand, companies like Amazon who sooner or later stop cashback links still continue with Nectar.
In a nutshell, its worth collecting Nectar points when higher cashback link options are not available.

seen somewhere that if you apply for credit card you get 5000 points, how much would they be worth in say argos?
also i am assuming you will have to spend something in order to get the points, anyone know?0 -
this website should show what you can get with them:

every 500 points works out to be £2.50 off at argos, so that's £25.
and martin's article here is worth a look too:happyhear0
