CCJ Paid within 28 days 4 years ago but showing as outstanding.

Hi,

I'm after a bit of advice but seem to be getting confused after trying to find the answer on the web. If somone could help me on this one it would be appreciated.

I have a CCJ for £891 on my credit file which was paid off within the one calender month, this should have been in time to have the CCJ cancelled and should not be on my credit file becaise of this.

I do have a fax from the company who registered the CCJ against me confirming that it was paid in full within the month. But cannot figure out how to have the CCJ removed.

I've already got the case details from my experian credit report but can't figure out how to have the CCJ removed and cancelled and what fee's im required to pay.

Is the fax enough evidence for the courts to have this removed ?

If somone could maybe post a few step by step instructions on what to do and what forms to fill in, it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Lee

Its not a certificate of satisfaction i want though, wouldnt this mark the judgement as satisifed and then remain on my file for 6 years ?

I actually want it removed as it shouldnt be on there and was paid within the one calender month for it not to be there.

How do I apply for a Certificate of Satisfaction?
Once the Court has confirmation that the debt is paid in full from the Claimant's Solicitor, we will mark our records to confirm it is cancelled or satisfied. You may then apply to the Court for a certificate of satisfaction or cancellation. There is currently a £15.00 fee for this service. Cheques / Postal Orders should be made payable to 'Her Majesty's Courts Service (HMCS)'.

What is the difference between a satisfied judgment and a cancelled judgment? If a judgment has been paid in full within one month of it being issued (e.g. Judgment entered on 01/02/06, paid in full 25/02/06) your judgment will be marked as cancelled and will be removed from the Register of Judgments, Orders and Fines. If the judgment is paid in full after 1 month of it being entered (e.g. Judgment entered 01/02/06, paid in full on 04/06/06), it will be marked as satisfied on your file. This will remain on the register of Judgments, Orders and Fines for 6 calendar years from the date of the judgment order.
