Transfer of Equity - can I do anything myself

I'm transferring the mortgage from my partner and I to just myself.
I've also got to do an equity transfer for the freehold - we own half (we don't have a management company, its just individuals placed on it separately.
So far my best quote is £475 including VAT. Is there anything I can do myself to reduce this cost? I am happy to put in the legwork but I don't know where to start!
