mortgage application on homebuy

Hi
I am applying for a joint mortgage with my fiance under the homebuy direct scheme.
I checked my credit report today and halifax the lender did a search on me on Friday. However my boyfriend hasn't been credit checked by them yet? Is this because I am the lead applicant as I earn the most? I just thought this was a bit odd that only I had been searched.
Also how long will it take until I hear anything - really nervous?!

Many thanks

Coco

When lenders look at our credit history, they used a method called Soft Touch. They look at your credit report without leaving a foot print. This avoid multiple footprints when applying for a mortgage. This could be the case for the main mortgage applicant. not sure though. I was told this from an Independant Financial Advisor.
