Samsung NC10 Netbook

Hi all,
I'm looking to buy a Samsung NC10 Netbook. Have seen them on sale at £197 but now out of stock. Any other offers out there? Or advice on which netbook to buy in general would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I’ve seen a refurb for £199.97 on Laptops Direct. Not sure what their deliver price is though.

Argos were selling the Samsung NC10 (online only) for £229.99, £5.95 delivery. These are currently out of stock though.

You could try searching the Mega Shopbot for a better deal.

I was going to suggest earlier keeping an eye out here, though this appears not to have been updated since February.

Wonder if it might be a good idea to ask for advice on which netbook to get on the Techie Stuff board as well.

    I'm on a NC10 now.

Best laptop I've ever owned and I've owned plenty... in the last 2 years alone...

    2 work laptops:
    - 2 HP 9xxx series (I think?) - one screen died, repaired, then battery died, next one screen died, was repaired, screen has faded again na dhas a line down it, limping with it now until it is replaced.

    6 personal:
    - 1 real budget eSystems thing for browsing - battery overheated and it died
    - 1 Phillips little thing (similar size to a NC10) - keys had rubber pads which fell out and it couldn't be fixed apparently! A keyboard! Really!
    - 2 HPs - a little tablet one which the charging circuit died on and a G60 where the wireless network card just stopped working
    - 1 ACER thing - battery has now died but was the best up until that point (also the cheapest so far)
    - 1 NC10 - brillant and cheapest again.

Only thing with the NC10, the speakers are not very powerful. Watching a program can be a strain if your girlfriend is as chatty as mine and you watch things you need to hear (documenties for me mainly).

Quality is great, XP is my OS of choice, battery life is great, even the 'feel' of it is nice... lovely!

Actually I've got a feeling it doesn't have USB 2.0 (you can look this up if it concerns you) which made copying 450 pictures to a flash drive a little slow the other week but not a real concern to me.
Does have a SD slot though so I guess that would be a handy alternative - although I don't do a lot of that stuff.

Good luck finding one. I'm sure a few are poking around.

For reference, I got mine for £220 new (£240 with a £20 rebate).

    Cheers, GreenSheep

Not seen current prices but got my NC10 for about £220 - £230 I think about 12 months ago from John Lewis - had to wait ages for them to get them in stock - about 6 months but worth it.

I agree It's fantastic - I really love it! Again I agree the sounds is 'low' might need external speakers, but the whole netbook is very impressive.

Hope you find a good deal - not looked to see what followed the NC10 to know if there are any good deals Im afraid.
