Gran Canaria flights cancelled??

Checked Stanstead website and it says all flights cancelled and our flight is cancelled this saturday however when checking ryan air it says that all flights cancelled til wednesday or try to refund or re-book, upon trying to book flights it says we can re-book same day, same time...??

I am confused as to what to do?

    What does your airline say?

  • Ryan Air says on its website that all flights FROM Gran Canaria are happening BUT ALL flights from UK are cancelled until Wednesday - the reason I am pnicking is because we have our cats booked into a cattery and we are having a loft conversion done which starts on Saturday!!

yes the Ryan Air site says that flights from Gran Canaria are happening BUT "just domestic and southbound routes" so nothing coming to the UK for now.

Currently neither STN or RyanAir are saying your flight is cancelled and I would expect it to be Thurs/Fri before they decide on Saturday
  • STILL dont know if we will fly or not this saturday!! Ryan Air have announced they are laying on more flights FROM Gran Canaria to Madrid and then people have to pay for themselves to get back from Madrid to UK by boat, foot or boat!!

It is only Tuesday, you may be lucky.

What is your plan if you can't fly on Saturday?

Nothing as far as im aware has been cancelled for Saturday

The flight would be refunded, however if you have booked a hotel the broker may charge you a few nights cancellation fee if you were not to travel or even 100%

Some hotel only suppliers that we use are able to give full refunds but very limited amount are, it depends on what the hoteliers are saying abroad they are negotiating with them to see what they can salvage back for customers, each case is individual depends on the hotel really.

Someone at travel republic will answer the phone eventually they are similar company to us but we are manic, the sales staff have been drafted in to help customer services out
